As the CEO of a statewide sustainability non-profit, a mom of twins and a leader with a deep track record of service in our community, Leslie is ready to serve on day one.

She will put your needs first and find solutions to make city government work for you. Whether it’s fixing potholes or drainage ditches, Leslie is a servant leader who is committed to preserving and improving quality of life on James Island!

Leslie is the CEO of an environmental sustainability organization that connects diverse stakeholders from across the state to find solutions that benefit our communities and businesses. For over a decade, Leslie also built and executed strategies to drive business growth for Fortune 500 companies, governments, non-profits and institutions. As a strategic communications and strategy professional, Leslie specializes in advising purpose-driven clients to uncover strategies to meet business goals while positively impacting their communities. Leslie completed her MBA from Georgetown with a focus in Non-Market Strategy to help businesses be a force for good in the world.

Effective Community Leader

Leslie is a community leader. She was named as South Carolina's Top 50 Women to Admire, Charleston Regional Business Journal’s 40 under 40 and SC Biz News’ Palmetto Power New Executive Honorees. 

Leslie was nominated by Charleston County Council and appointed to serve as a Commissioner for the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission. Charleston City Council also voted to appoint her to the City of Charleston Commission on Women. She was appointed to the advisory committee for the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Comprehensive Climate Action Plan, and served on the City of Charleston’s Climate Action Plan Education Committee.

She is the founder of “C3: Connecting the Community for Change - Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders” - a program that teaches the civil rights history of South Carolina and builds bridges among students of diverse backgrounds. Leslie was selected to be on the International African American Museum's Interfaith Advisory Committee and worked as a board member for the Charleston and State League of Women Voters.

Leslie serves on the Charleston Chamber of Commerce's Regional Policy Committee. She recently graduated from the Port Ambassador Program, is a graduate of the Riley Institute Diversity Leaders Initiative, Leadership Charleston. She was recently selected to join Leadership South Carolina. 

Mom and Wife

Most importantly, Leslie is a mom. While raising twin boys on James Island with her husband and their rescue pup, Leslie understands and is invested in the importance of preserving our way of life and ensuring the future of Charleston for generations to come. Leslie will work to promote public access to green spaces, water and play to build and maintain a community that works for all of us.
